Why this book?

This book is aimed at a wide cross-section of generations, especially the second generation expatriates. We believe that music transcends all barriers and acts as a cross-culture and a cross-generation glue. Amongst you readers there may be some Jagjit Singh ghazal fans, who (like our own daughters) may not have studied the Hindi/Urdu script but wish to learn, understand & sing this genre. This book is a humble attempt to preserve the rich legacy left to us and future generations by the late Jagjit Singh. We are both medical doctors by profession and this book is a 'labour of our love' for the music and genius of Jagjit Singh's virtuosity.
